Friends of Mifflin (FOM) fundraising efforts have supported the building of a playground in the Mifflin school yard, much needed sound equipment for the auditorium for use during assemblies and performances, the Mifflin all-school Thanksgiving Meal, the purchase of a cotton candy machine and a popcorn machine to be used during school events and student reward days, and teacher grants to assist teachers in providing supplies for classroom projects and more.

FOM holds events for both the Mifflin and greater East Falls community, fundraises and provides resources to enhance learning and the overall school environment, and supports the school leadership, staff, students, and home/school needs as requested.

Some of the events FOM hosts throughout the year include Mifflin Madness, Chalk the Walk, Summer Meet-ups, Teacher Appreciation Week, and Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service which contributes to the vibrant community at Thomas Mifflin School.
